The DC arc has me constantly vacillating between wanting to punch Kurapika in the throat for his utter lack of self preservation and recklessness and endearing me to him about 1000% more because… He’s so gentle with little Woble??? and Woble trusts him unconditionally??? 

We all know what his actual stakes in this insane mission are, but he genuinely cares about what happens to this family and doesn’t want to see anything bad happen to them. He’s heard their story from Oito near the beginning and decided that even though it’s not an ideal situation, he’s going to stick by them and protect them as best he can alongside his attempt to obtain the eyes. But it’s also only the 2nd day of the voyage and he’s already run himself this ragged. Quit worrying me, you asshole.

And can I mention how much respect I have for queen Oito here? All she wants is to protect her baby, and she will do absolutely anything for that cause. She’s had so much unbelievable shit about nen thrown at her and she’s taken it (relatively) well so far. She’s intelligent and brave and has a big enough heart to trust Kurapika despite knowing he definitely has ulterior motives here, and she even cares about the lives of the other princes. I really like her character so far!

gon is citrine – success, personal power. it’s a golden color and is associated with positive energy.

killua is kyanite – loyalty, honesty. it’s a sort of silvery blue (though it comes in other colors, blue is most common) and is associated with protection during altered states.

gon and killua fuse frequently, usually in the context of combat (”we fight better when we’re together), to form emerald – love, protection. it’s emerald, you know… it’s green… and it’s associated with passion, balance, and awareness.

kurapika is red tiger’s eye (also known as dragon’s eye) – practicality, willpower. it’s red and is associated with vitality and integrity.

leorio is topaz – synchronicity, individuality. it’s most often seen as a golden brown (though it can be many colors) and is associated with tension relief, and creativity.

alluka is rubellite (pink tourmaline) – balance, calm. it’s pink in color and is associated with emotional balance and relaxation.

nanika is schorl (black tourmaline) – luck, protection. it’s black in color and is associated with banishing or transmuting negative energy.

alluka and nanika are fused 99% of the time and are rhodonite – grace, unconditional love. it’s pink with black patches, and is associated with self-confidence and inner growth.

hisoka is disgusting eudialyte – personal power, psychic resonance. it’s pink, and is associated with self-confidence/trust in oneself and revitalization.

illumi i’m working on. i’m considering howlite – wisdom, severing attachments, white or colorless, but also onyx – controlling of personal energy, memory, and it’s black.
