ging & paristons relationship is that theyre kismesees and dating tbh
ctrl+f for kissmesitude if youre not familiar with homestuck but if you are, like. seriously
- A Kismesis is the term used to describe deep, deep hatred for someone.
- Tensions run high…
- Kismesissitude seems to be based on a mix of hatred and sexual attraction.
- Kismesis is a portmanteau of “kismet” (fated) and “nemesis.”
PRETTY MUCH

What is Pariston’s relationship with Ging, I can never tell? One time he’s like I really hate him, another time he’s shooting smiley faces and sparkly glitter at Ging, and then in the end he’s like”Senpai” all over him…
OH I WONDER
It’s a very interesting dynamic these two have. A mix of hate, tension, rivalry and enjoyment in each other. I’ll try and elaborate, from what we’ve seen so far with them..
Pariston seems to outwardly enjoy engaging with Ging more than Ging does with Pariston, and he’s commented on their similarities a couple times. Ging said that Pariston has a personality a lot like Netero and his own in many ways, but Paris has the added deviance and sadomasochistic desires.
I think Ging particularly tickles his fancy because he’s the first person he ever legitimately hated before, and the curiosity that brings him is tremendous. His manipulations don’t work on him in the way he’d like, and Ging doesn’t like to regard Pariston, which seems to affect him some, so I’d say he doesn’t like being underestimated by others. He enjoys the wariness and uneasiness he give the people he wants to destroy, and Ging does not follow suit. But at the same time he loves it for the same reasons.
But while Ging may shun Pariston to his face, he doesn’t really underestimate him, but at the same time he does not fall into his games, rather he walks into them freely. He purposely riles Pariston, makes him react. He said that he could just defeat him in a physical fight, but knows that he needs to outsmart Pariston, so it’s a collision of two strong mentalities.
And we’re getting so much of it in the upcoming manga chapters, so who knows where it’ll take us… it’s so engaging I love it.
How do you define Illumi/Hisokas relationship? (not a ship thing but real, do you think they’re really friends or they’re just useful for each other or what? if they’re friends, what about when Illumi said that killers dont need friends?
Illumi would call Hisoka an ally, and Hisoka probably would call Illumi a friend. Illumi seems very adverse to the idea of friendship, but in reality he doesn’t have much of a problem with socialising and talking to others, so long as they prove useful. Of course these relationships are limited, given Illumi’s personality, but he and Hisoka struck a chord.
There’s a definite ‘give and take’ vibe to their relationship they mainly help each other out when they benefit from the situation. In Illumi’s case, he does seem to be a little more altruistic that Hisoka; he helps him out in the Hunter Exam once or twice freely so you can assume he likes him, but usually when assisting him, Hisoka would need to pay for the service, like when Illumi disguised himself as Hiso in Yorknew.
Having said that, their relationship with each other is probably the closest either of them could relate to a friendship, and they seem to be quite content and happy with it. They’re relaxed around each other. Hisoka would usually be pining to fight someone as strong as Illumi (who he ranks higher than some Zodiacs), but it’s moved past that point and comes second to just enjoying Illumi’s company.
But at same time they’re just as willing to kill each other at the drop of a hat if it came to that, Hisoka for pleasure, and Illumi if he dared cross his family.
also…i enjoy watching fictional characters suffering… physically…emotionally…and mentally…as long as there is a happy ending (although a satisfying character arc is ideal).
so the chimera ant arc was good for me in that way too. 🙂
Then please explain it yourself! Why do you think Killua left Gon’s side to help Ikalgo? Knowing Killua, it is rather a big deal don’t you think? Killua always put Gon first and promised himself to be Gon’s cover and protect him at all costs but even he could not explain why he turned around to help Ikalgo.
I think in my opinion, deep down, Killua felt like he was not needed by Gon, but it was all in his subconscious and that’s why he was rather shocked by what he did (saving Ikalgo). Gon was running headfirst and surefooted, singlemindedly and indifferent to who is behind him. Gon did not care if he was covered by Killua or not because nothing could have stopped him right then. And I’m sure Killua noticed that. And I’m sure he was bothered by it, even if he didn’t consciously dwell on it. Boys do not dwell on their deep-rooted emotions. Sometimes you know something’s hurting you, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. Throughout the majority of the arc Killua struggled with self-doubt and helplessness. Leaving Kite behind… Bisky’s warning… “Sorry, Gon… I couldn’t be much help.” And when he saw how not only Gon didn’t need his help but also didn’t even look behind to see if his help was there, that made everything worse. Killua was deeply wounded by Gon’s thoughtlessness even before what happened in episode 116.
On the other hand, Ikalgo needed Killua. And I think a part of Killua needed to be needed at that moment. Killua needed to help Ikalgo. He needed to be helpful to someone. To feel that his help mattered to someone. But I think it was all in his subconscious because he didn’t realize it right away. He felt shocked and confused and guilty. He didn’t know what was happening to him until Ikalgo said “I owe you one” and expressed gratitude for Killua’s help. And then Killua was okay. He felt better. It is a nicely psychological moment.
Imagine Gon randomly kissing all his friends on the cheek when he gets older because he just loves them so much…!!!
Random Headcanon: After a while apart everyone reunites to spend some time together. Gon and Killua get to see each other again. Gon tells him about loosing his Nen and how he has to start from the beginning. Since they’re surrounded by a lot of friends Killua asks Knuckles to use Hakoware on him and purposely “loses” his Nen for 30 days so he can train with Gon during their stay. When it’s time for Alluka and Killua to move on to their next destination Gon goes to see them off. Killua gives him a fist bump and shocks him a little. When Killua leaves Gon is once again able to see his Nen.
