Okay, so Gon and/or Killua get really injured and pretty much can’t do anything but lay in bed for a few days. So they turn on the TV and the Disney channel is having a huge marathon of all their popular animated movies and decide to watch it (or a hospital nurse stuck it on that channel since they’re both kids and she thought they’d like it). This is the first time they’ve seen these movies since Gon didn’t watch much TV and Killua’s family didn’t approve of the messages of Disney films. (1/2)

babyworu:

I’m wondering, which Disney movies do they both like and would watch together again on their own? And which movie is their own personal favorite? What do you think? I bet the Fox and the Hound makes them both cry for completely different reasons (Gon because it makes him remember separating from his foxbear friend Kon and Killua because, wow, these two promised to be friends forever but were torn apart due to circumstances beyond their control wow). They both agree never to watch it again. (2/2)

Finally I can reply to this ask. I’ve been wanting to all morning.

THIS IS SO FREAKING CUTE AND SAD CUZ THE BABIES DON’T KNOW CHILDREN’S MOVIES!!!!

I like the hospital setting so lets go with that. Leorio works at this hospital and gives them special treatment or something letting Gon and Killua bunk in the same room.

The Fox and the Hound would totally crush Killua. He’d be holding back tears but Gon could see a few rolling down his cheek and he hugs Killua and they both just kinda bond in silence. (and Killua wondering if he’ll ever have to leave Gon for his safety. To protect Gon he’d have to stay away and the thought hurts but he starts contemplating it.)

I feel like Gon would like all the adventurous ones like Treasure Planet, The Sword in the Stone (test of strength), but his absolute favorite would be The Jungle Book. He’d love “the bear necessities” and sing along to it so much Killua acts annoyed but he finds it cute how Gon will hum it before going to bed. He also likes Aladdin and Pocahontas and bawls with Dumbo (he thinks of Mito-san).

Killua likes the more romantic stories (not in the love sort of way. he likes more the “deeper” meaning behind words). So like maybe Brave (going against what an “heir” is supposed to do), Aladdin (both Gon and Killua enjoy it but Gon likes it cuz Aladdin’s dad reminds him of Ging and Killua because Genie is an awesome friend.), He finds Alice in Wonderland kinda weird but likes the “hidden” messages. The Lion King also appeals to him. Both of them. HE finds Timone and Pumbaa funny and starts cracking up when he imagines Leorio and Kurapika as them.

I have this headcanon that while Gon is on Whale Island Mito-san gives him a assignment to write an essay about his adventure while he was gone. While he is writing it he starts to realize all the little things Killua has done for him and how he would have never came this far if it wasn’t for Killua. So halfway through writing it the essay somehow becomes an apology letter to Killua.

babyworu:

….That’s so beautiful. I read this yesterday when I woke up and….Mito crying silent tears when she reads them because she can tell how much love and feeling Gon put into the letters and he’s totally derived from the point of the assignment but she doesn’t say anything. She simply reads them every night and saves them in a little box so that someday, if Killua ever comes to visit again, she can hand them to him because even if she’s not exactly sure what happened she knows there’s a new distance between them both are having trouble closing again.

Random Headcanon: Gon learns to play poker and gets really good at it. He challenges Killua to a game, even daring to make it strip poker. When he’s down to his boxers he remembers Killua knows a lot of games. (Killua wins)

I feel like Killua would be the type to count cards (plus he has a great poker face). Gon would never win. He’d probably ask Killua to help him get better (if only because he wants to beat Killua at strip poker).

Gon becomes a fantastic player but he can never beat Killua and it’s a little frustrating. But what he doesn’t know is that even though his poker face is perfect with everyone else with Killua his eyes shine with excitement whenever he thinks he’s about to beat him and it pretty much gives him away.

brokenkillua:

Random Headcanon: After a while apart everyone reunites to spend some time together. Gon and Killua get to see each other again. Gon tells him about loosing his Nen and how he has to start from the beginning. Since they’re surrounded by a lot of friends Killua asks Knuckles to use Hakoware on him and purposely “loses” his Nen for 30 days so he can train with Gon during their stay. When it’s time for Alluka and Killua to move on to their next destination Gon goes to see them off. Killua gives him a fist bump and shocks him a little. When Killua leaves Gon is once again able to see his Nen.

Do you like nagas? Imagine Gon as a cute python boy and Killua as a pretty blue pit viper. They love each other despite the species difference. Snake people don’t usually kiss because of their weird mouths, but they rub their faces together to show affection and curl up for warmth too. Gon gives strong hugs, but Killua trusts him not to crush him. Likewise, Gon trusts Killua not to bite him despite the fact that he has one of the most deadly poisons in the world. Cutest deadly snake children.

babyworu:

In Naga au, Kurapika is a gorgeous albino python and Leorio is the token human. Gon and Kurapika don’t eat or go near humans (Killua used to, but he decided to stop once he left his family), but they took note of Leorio because his strong cologne got their attention. Leorio is a traveling doctor who visits isolated villages and he has to travel through the jungle they live in to get there. Gon or Kurapika will usually talk to him as he goes through, and they make sure nothing else eats him.

(Part 3 of Naga au) Kurapika admires Leorio’s commitment to his job, while Gon thinks he is cool and brave for traveling through the jungle even though he is relatively defenseless. Leorio freaked out super hard the first time one of them approached him (it was probably Gon), but he opened up when they seemed to only want to talk and not eat him. After he gets to know them he brings them gifts to thank them for escorting him through.

Part 4 of Naga au. Kurapika was taught the common human language when he was young by a female traveler who he found injured in the forest and helped (like he did in canon). (She left him the D Hunter book to read as well, which he treasures to this day.) After he finds out Kurapika can read, Leorio brings him books about all kinds of subjects and Kurapika is incredibly grateful. Gon gets all kinds of toys and gadgets, which he is always happy to receive. They both find human food kinda gross.

Part 5 of Naga au. So Leorio doesn’t bring them food again after the first time. Kurapika used to have a childhood friend named Pairo. He doesn’t like to talk about Pairo or how he died. (Spiders make him irrationally angry and he will kill every single one he sees.) Kurapika came across Gon when Gon was incredibly young (maybe freshly hatched). He took care of him because Gon reminded him of Pairo. He taught Gon human language, although Gon did not have the same passion for reading as him.

Part 6 of Naga au. Gon is so adventurous! Once he becomes old enough to defend himself from everything in the jungle he basically goes wherever he wants with little regard for Kurapika’s worries. He does not go beyond the trees that border the jungle because open spaces make him instinctively anxious, but he will often go up high in the trees to look off into the distance. That is how he discovered Killua. (Gon and Kurapika met Leorio a good while before Killua.)

Part 6 of Naga au. Killua was originally from a different area than Gon and Kurapika, in a forest surrounding a huge mountain. His family would feed mainly on humans who attempted to scale the mountain, although they would be discreet enough and allow enough people through alive to keep the flow of humans coming. Some would claim a monster roams the forest, but not too many people take them seriously. No one who actually sees a Zoldyck is ever left alive.

Part 7 of Naga au. Each member of the Zoldyck family has a particular kind of poison. Kikyo’s species is known for a poison that causes hypnosis/paralysis and her kind eat their prey alive. While Silva has a poison that quickly sends his prey into cardiac arrest. Their love is beautiful and deadly. Killua is the only child who inherits his father’s poison and he is the pride of the family. Illumi trains him by administering small amounts of his poison into him and Killua hates it.

Part 8 of Naga au. Killua is terrified of Illumi. At times the paralysis portion of his poison is more prominent than the hypnosis and the feeling of not being able to move with his brother watching over him scared the crap out of him. He also has the nagging feeling he is forgetting something important…(he doesn’t remember having a little sister he loved more than anything) (Alluka is alive and well but hidden from Killua for REASONS). One day everything becomes too much and he flees home.

Part 9 of Naga AU. Killua is sure that anywhere he can go is better than his home. His fear of his brother overrides any terror he would feel at leaving his forest. He travels at night, keeping to the shadows. Resting in caves and fox holes and even abandoned barns if he must. When he reaches Gon’s jungle he is more tired and hungry than he has ever been in his life, but he also feels incredibly relieved. When a heavy body drops down from the trees he almost can’t be bothered to defend himself.

Part 10 of Naga au. He does draw enough energy to bear his fangs, letting Gon know he will bite if he gets too close. In response Gon drops a recently killed monkey in front of him, keeping enough distance so Killua doesn’t feel threatened. He had spotted Killua coming through the tall grass in the field from his resting place in the trees, and followed him quite a bit after he entered the jungle. Gon noted how thin he seemed and also the fact that he collapsed in an area too open to be safe.

Part 11 of Naga AU. Gon brought the monkey as a peace offering. He had never seen a person like Killua before. The coloring and pattern on his tail was foreign, but also beautiful. He smelled completely different from anything in the jungle as well, different from Leorio too, and it made him interesting. Kurapika would tell him to be more cautious, but Gon was a curious boy and he wanted to know all he could about this stranger. He wanted to be friends.

Part 12 of Naga AU. After staring at the monkey for a few minutes, Killua takes it and swallows it whole. He assumes Gon will want something from him for it, but he decides that’s fine. He figures it would be smart to have an ally in this new place. The fact that Gon did not immediately try to attack him while he appeared so weak was enough to trust him for now. (Even tired and hungry, Killua’s poison would surely kill him. But Gon probably didn’t know that).

Part 13 of Naga AU: Gon smiles when he sees Killua accept the food, although he waits for him to finish eating before he speaks. “I’m Gon! What’s your name?” As Killua stares at him, Gon wonders if he can even understand him. Maybe they speak a different language where he’s from…but then he answers “Killua” quietly. He asks if there’s any water nearby. His voice is a bit raspy, but Gon can understand him. He’s glad. He agrees to show Killua where the river is, talking excitedly the whole way.

Last Part of Naga AU: Killua follows him, wondering what the catch will be to all this generosity, but enjoying Gon’s company nonetheless. It is the start of a beautiful friendship. (Sorry this got so out of hand!! I meant to only send the first two parts, but then the story got away from me… You can paste the parts into a text post if it will make it easier to publish, but can you credit me for the submission? I like this au and I kinda wish I saved it in a Word file. Just call me Naga anon!)

super late in replying but whaaaa!!! Hehe I really like this AU. It’s super interesting. Ah, I love everyone and how you kept their personality and little hints of their canon self too. Leorio is wonderful. Amazing.

“They weren’t going to show how much it hurt but both understood.” Rip out ny heart and DESTROY IT

babyworu:

But I love how it transition from smiles->sadness->determination

It’s them growing up. This is also part of growing. They got so far together now it’s time for some time alone and they’ll grow even stronger. They’ll realize how the other’s presence helped them. How being together for so long leads people to start taking the little things for granted.

Now they are at a new starting point. This was discussed before. Killua now knows what he wants to do “for the rest of his life”. He’s prepared to tie himself down to Alluka but she already won’t let him. “I’ll set him free.” Killua still has unresolved issues with his family so there’s still much for him to do.

Gon fulfilled his goal, to meet/find/catch up with GIng. Gon is back where he started with no Nen. I think going back to the basics means a lot more. He has to remember himself a bit. Killua discovered himself while Gon sort of lost himself.

Killua thanks him for “setting him free”. Gon allowed him the first steps now the rest is up to him. I’m not sure where I’m going with this. I guess being apart will bring them closer together in the end, is what I was going for.

Gon is good with older women right? So what if he was able to charm Kikyo if they were ever forced into a situation where they had to interact civilly with each other. And Killua is just suffering in the background thinking “no no no don’t get along with my mom gon she is terrible STOP.” (I don’t think she has done anything too horrible in front of Gon to make him openly hostile to her right off the bat yet, and he is used to worried mothers who don’t want their children to leave home (Mito))

babyworu:

Okay I just remembered Kikyo shot Canary in the head so that idea might be shot for a canon scenario, but. I still like the idea because Gon is good with handling emotionally unstable people (Palm), and imagine him doing the little pinky swear thing with her “I promise to take care of Killua and keep him safe and if I don’t I’ll swallow one thousand needles” and she appreciates the morbidity of it. (2/3)

Like, Mito gave Gon a super difficult task before he was allowed to leave Whale Island (catching that giant fish from the pond) and then told him Ging abandoned him after he did it so that he would be less inclined to leave (when she really won custody of Gon in court). So I don’t think Gon would personally find Kikyo as morally repugnant as Illumi’s outright cruelty because he doesn’t know how much she has hurt Killua yet. (Although shooting Canary in the head kills the idea dammit.) (3/3)

Hehe I don’t think he still carries any horrible hostility either way. Yeah shooting Canary may have lost her some points but even when he saw how beaten Killua was he didn’t react all that upset. Probably because Killua was already safe by that time but I think Gon has yet to realize the extent of Killua’s training as a child.

Gon has never thought “Poor Killua he never had a childhood”. Gon hasn’t really wondered what sort of training Killua was put through. Every time he sees the extent his training has paid off, Gon finds it amazing and admirable. When Killua told him he was from a family of assassins Gon accepted it. He never questioned, which Killua liked, but I think Killua knows a lot more of Gon than Gon does of Killua.

Killua doesn’t speak much of himself or his past. What is revealed is revealed only within family or it’s hinted. You can tell the adults all feel sort of bad for Killua (like Biscuit per se) who wonder what type of hell he had to go through for him to be so composed, trying to act mature, immune to poison and resistant to electricity. I’m not even sure any of that crosses through Gon’s mind. Not that he doesn’t care but he accepts it maybe a little too easily.

He does get upset if someone actively hurts Killua now, in the present, but he doesn’t get upset of the past. But who knows, maybe he would. When he is allowed a glimpse of his friend’s past. What made him who he is, then Gon may come to understand Killua a little better.

The only real problem I would have with this headcanon is we technically saw this with Gotoh and Gon failed to keep that promise. He hurt Killua. He made him grow, yes, but that was through Killua’s own love and will. Gon gave Killua happiness as well as pain.

I would love to know what Gotoh would have said to Gon if he’d had the chance to talk to him after Gon woke up. If he’d be mad because of how broken and desperate Killua returned to the mansion. Killua returned stronger than ever but also completely crushed and I think Gotoh would have question, like the rest of the Zoldyck butlers, if it was a good idea for Killua to befriend him.

Because they love Killua and Gon hurt him, badly. In their eyes, what Gon did to Killua was worse than anything any of the other Zoldyck ever did to him. Even Illumi and for them to wonder if Killua was better of still being controlled really makes me sad because it’s basically saying Gon’s friendship wasn’t worth Killua’s suffering.

Though it may be based more on the mentality of “flesh wounds heal but the heart it scarred forever” (though seriously Illumi, psychological damage is also a big blow. everyone in the zoldyck residence saw this as a way to protect Killua though so they know it’s messed up but I guess it was a better alternative than him being dead.)

________________

Just to at least help out this headcanon. I’d love to see Gon try and win Kikyo over or the other way around. Either one trying to get closer to Killua or to help ease any hostility.

This may sound weird, but how about mpreg Killua headcanon?

babyworu:

[[ took me forever to answer this I’m sooooo sorry ]]

^v^ I’ve been here long enough to know what that is! ((i’m so proud of myself)).

So Killua has a little baby bump (I don’t like the huge tummies they draw on them but cute small bumps are cute) and he’s starting to get the morning sickness, cravings, pains and all that good jazz. Both Gon and Killua are totally surprised when it happens neither thinking this was even possible. Gon is very nervous but also somewhat happy because he never thought of having a family but if it was with Killua then he was glad. Right away he accepts the fact and starts rubbing Killua’s tummy and talking to it saying how excited he was and how he couldn’t wait for the little baby to be born.

Killua is a whole different matter. He’s so confused and half dying of shock because he has another life within him and Gon’s the father and why is his body even doing this. He’s freaking out (internally mostly) thinking farther ahead than Gon thinking they aren’t ready, this is way too weird. He never even considered having a family nor does he think he would be a good parent. He’s terrified for the child. What would his family think? WHAT WOULD THEY DO?! He had to protect the child and Gon. Change their names and hide them from the world so their family would never know. And what about giving birth?? How would that work? Maybe they should ask Kurapika, Palm, Biscuit?! Did Leorio know anything about this? Could they go to him to help deliver the baby or would Kurapika be better? He just about works himself up to the point of passing out when Gon rubbing his stomach catches his attention and he sees Gon looking so happy and loving.

Gon presses his ear to Killua’s tummy trying to feel or listen for any sign of life. Killua flinches thinking he felt something move and Gon looks up at him smiling brightly and wondrously because he felt it too and he pulls in Killua for a hug and pets his hair. Killua was only able to smile sadly at him feeling very insecure and he gently grabs the rim of Gon’s shirt not quite returning the hug.

But then Gon whispers, “It’s going to be ok. We’re gonna do our best to not make our parent’s mistakes. We’ll show them how beautiful the world is and we’ll be happy. Together.  It’ll be ok.”

And that’s enough for Killua to break down into tears and he hold on tightly to Gon. Gon smiles and keeps repeating, “It’s gonna be ok.” and Killua nods and he chokes out a laugh because he’s happy. He’d been so confused and conflicted so much but now that he’d calmed down he realizes he’s happy and again it was because of Gon.
