I’m a newer follower of yours but I really like your writing! If I may ask for a request, could you do “Don’t give me that puppy dog face. How am I supposed to say no to that?” or “God, you always make me blush so damn much.” or “You can call me whenever you want… Even if you don’t have a reason to.” from the fluffy/blushy prompts? Gon and Killua of course~ Sorry I just couldn’t choose one! Do whichever one you’d like out of these if you have the time! <3

This idea was too fun to not do. Thank you so much for following me! It makes me happy to know you like my writing, I hope you like this!

This can technically take place in canon? I’ll tag it as an au though.

“No,” Killua said flatly.

“Whaaaat? C’mon, Killua, it’ll be fun!”

Killua looked from Gon’s pouting face back towards the ride. He let his eyes slowly roam over the heart-shaped tunnel, the swan boats, the blinking neon sign:

‘Love Tunnel’.

Well fuck that.

“There’s no way,” Killua said through clenched teeth. “That I would ever get into that thing.”

“But I want to do it!”

“Tough shit! I’m not giving into you this time, no way in hell.”

“Killuaaaa.” Gon’s brow puckered and his lower lip trembled.

“Oh, no. Don’t even start, Gon! Your stupid puppy dog face won’t work this time.”

Gon tried to intensify the look, making his eye large and glossy. Normally Killua would’ve caved by now; whenever Gon made that face something in his gut twisted painfully.

Not this time.

“No,” Killua said again. “I’m not doing it.”

Gon dropped the act immediately. “Why not?! We’ve gone on every other ride together so far, this one’s not any different!”

“There’s nothing you can say to make me go in there!” Killua snapped. “That thing is for couples and lovers, and-”

“What if I told you I liked you?”

Killua froze, mouth hanging open wide. He glanced back at Gon. He had to be joking, right? There was no way he wasn’t.

But Gon wasn’t smiling. His gaze was steady and clear, and Killua could even make out the slight red tinge rising to his cheeks-

“I-I don’t believe you,” Killua stammered.

Why?” Gon asked with a frown.

“I- you- just, because! There’s no way you could be serious about something like that, you’re probably just saying that to manipulate me to going on the ride!”

Gon’s eyes darkened. He roughly grabbed Killua’s wrist and pressed their joined hands to his chest.

“Do you feel that?” Gon asked as Killua stood immobilized by shock.

Killua could. The rapid and heavy thudding of Gon’s heart raced under his and Gon’s fingers. Killua could tell it was beating at twice its normal rate because he could feel his own heart responding in kind.

“I like you, Killua,” Gon said again. “I wouldn’t joke about something like that. And I know you like me, too.”

“You can’t just assume something like that,” Killua argued weakly.

Gon smiled slightly. “Your face is bright red, Killua.”

God fucking damnit. How was this his life? He wanted to bang his head against the nearest trash can until he couldn’t think straight anymore-

“So, can we go on the ride?”

Killua zeroed in on their hands as Gon interlocked their fingers. He looked suspiciously at Gon who was now beaming, swinging their hands back and forth like they were kids.

“…fine,” Killua said finally and Gon’s face lit up.

“But, Gon, that means no funny business, okay?! I’ll die before I fall into that shitty boat water-”

Gon laughed joyfully before quickly pressing his lips to Killua’s.

“You think too much,” he whispered as Killua’s brain internally shut down.

Gon had kissed him. Kissed him. Him, Killua Zoldyck. He’d been kissed by Gon-

And then he was tugged forward and he numbly followed his friend (boyfriend??? what the hell had just happened?!) onto the swan ride he had just sworn he would never in a million years go on.

Well. There was a first time for everything, right?

Tip for people looking for Hunter x Hunter news: if it’s not an official news post on Crunchyroll or Anime News Network, it’s probably just a rumor. And even then, in the past they have both posted about the manga coming back when it was only based on rumors, so take their posts with a grain of salt too.

(Sorry if I sound dismissive, I’ve just seen these unreliable news posts about Takeuchi taking over the manga for literal weeks, and they make me sad every time I realize they’re unsourced. 😦 😦 😦 )

Everyday there are like 10 unsourced news stories about Togashi’s wife, Naoko Takeuchi, taking over writing Hunter x Hunter, and like. They’re  obviously unreliable, but I kind of wish they were true because what would that even look like. I can’t even imagine how she would write the story, but I really want to find out.

(I’ve had this post in my drafts for like two weeks and it’s finally relevant. Sorry for the letdown everyone.)

Followers meme! Prompt: “The prophecy fortold that I will end your family line, so the minute I was born your family tried to kill me and my family took it as a challenge so we were raised to kill one another, but damn it man you are so perfect and stupid to think the same about me so we fall in love and none of us understood how am I suppoused to end you until I saw the engagemenet ring and it downed upon me – you are going to take my last name.

I think this is along the lines of what you wanted? I hope you like it, thank you for the ask!

Killua’s back slammed against the wall. The impact was hard enough for stars to break out across his vision and for a moment he was too stunned to move. He didn’t react fast enough to stop the blade from pressing up against his neck, and it was then he knew that it was over.

Finally, it was over.

He let out a slow breath as his attacker’s face swam back into focus. The bright-gold glare of Gon Freecss’ eyes burned into Killua’s, but the knife at his throat was freezing cold.

Killua’s eyelids shut. “Do it. I’m ready.”

The cold pressure instantly disappeared. A jarring clang echoed around the room as the knife clattered to the floor. Killua inhaled sharply as a new weight- warmer, softer, somehow- was added to his left shoulder.

Killua slowly opened one eye. Gon was still crouched over him, hands pressed against the wall on both sides of Killua’s body so Killua was trapped between it and him. Gon’s forehead now rested on Killua’s shoulder and Killua could feel the other teen’s breath on his bare skin.

“G-Gon?” Killua squeaked. “What- why did you stop? You had a chance to end it, how could-”

“I can’t do this anymore,” Gon cut him off. “I can’t fight you again, Killua. I just can’t. That look on your face just now, I…”

Gon shuddered against him and Killua forced himself to stay still.

Killua squeezed his eyes shut again. “We don’t have a choice. If we don’t end this, my family’s just going to send me after you again.”

“And do you think you could do it?” Gon murmured into Killua’s neck. “If that had been you with the knife and me against the wall, could you kill me, Killua?”

Killua’s mouth went dry. He didn’t answer.

“Heh, see? You can’t do it, either.”

“That doesn’t help us, Gon! You’re going to end my family line, the witch said so herself-”

“Maybe she’s wrong.”

Killua snorted bitterly. “The witches are never wrong. They can see the future, remember? And Palm Siberia is the best of them all.”

Gon raised his head, but didn’t move away. He stayed right where he was, body close enough to Killua’s that he could feel Gon’s body heat. Killua pressed himself against the icy wall, nails scraping against stone, and tried not to squirm under that sun-filled gaze.

“What if- what if she’s right, but not in the way our families think she is?”

“…what are you talking about?” Killua asked suspiciously.

Gon took a deep breath. “I’ve been thinking about this a lot, Killua. And I think I figured it out: there’s more then one way to end a family name.”

Gon wasn’t making any sense, and Killua’s patience was starting to thin. Killua said shortly, “Gon, I swear, if you don’t spit out whatever the hell you’re trying to say right now, I’ll-”

Gon reached into his pocket, and pulled out a simple, silver ring.

Killua stopped breathing.

Gon smiled, cheeks full of dimples. “Killua. Marry me? Take my name, marry me, and we can end this. We can stay together, we can be happy. I know it. I promise, I’ll never stop trying to make you happy. So. Please? Say yes?”

olivemeister:

speaking of the fishing rod thing, i wonder if people really get that there was sort of a symbolic reason that gon stopped using it? it sort of vanishes at the point where gon begins to get sort of a solid lead on ging and knows where to orient himself before he starts running. i’ve seen a lot of people sort of go “but where’d the fishing rod go anyway?”

before, gon was sort of aimless, just looking for information. become a hunter, because if he’s a hunter he’ll be able to find out more about ging. after that, he just sort of did whatever, because he has no leads. no one is willing or able to talk to him about ging.

until that point he was just doing stuff that ging did in a sort of attempt to get closer to him – to understand him and his motivations. ging did this when he was 12, and i’m 12, so i should do it too. ging became a hunter, so i’ll be a hunter and maybe i’ll be able to find him. he has no direction, nowhere to go.

but when he’s able to open the box with the greed island save card, it gives him a specific focus – find the game and play, and when he’s beaten it he’ll be a step closer to his goal.

gon’s coming into his own. he has an alternative option forming in regards to combat. he doesn’t need or want to use his father’s hand-me-downs when it comes to embarking on his quest.

at the same time, i feel like to some degree it’s the point where gon realizes if he’s going to find ging, he’s going to have to (and wants to!) do it on his own, with his own skills and merits. he wants to find ging, not be him. and he wants his father to see him and recognize him as a person, as someone deserving of his respect.

he has to make his own way. so after heaven’s arena, after he visits whale island with killua, after he hears ging’s voice and words for the first time and understands them – “i don’t want to see you” – he leaves the fishing rod behind. that was something he picked up because it was something ging did, when he was mimicking ging in order to chase his shadow. they weren’t skills gon developed for himself, things he did because he wanted them specifically.

the fishing rod was ging’s gimmick, ging’s tool.

i think hearing that recording was the moment gon realized something very important.

if he’s going to prove himself to ging, it’s going to have to be as himself.

Truck or treat!

caseyvalhalla:

Gon didn’t quite remember what had happened five minutes ago, or much at all before the throbbing in his head took over, an angry pulse of pain and fear that echoed the one in his chest.  Slowly, though, it was starting to fade.  Very slowly, and once it had faded enough for even the barest of thoughts to form in his head Gon wondered if he should be worried about that fading and the numbness that crept through his body in its wake.

He’d made a mistake–a minor one, but for a bounty hunter the most minor of errors could easily be your last.  Tracking Hisoka down had been hard enough, trying to catch him off guard even harder, and Gon wasn’t prepared for him to have backup.  He’d hoped that Hisoka would be satisfied with giving him the slip and disappearing back off the grid, leaving Gon to follow cold trails for another six months.

He hadn’t.

Gon coughed, feeling things move in his chest that probably shouldn’t, feeling an arm curled gently around his shoulders, a cold hand against his cheek.  He tried opening his eyes but his vision swam and he only caught a swatch of silver and a glint of blue before they slid closed again.  That’s right–the bartender, silver hair with an undercut and a sharp tongue, blue eyes that caught his and winked.  They’d only spoken briefly, and now Gon couldn’t really remember the exchange, except for the part where he’d jerked his chin towards the door just as Hisoka walked in, warning him.

“Shh,” the voice above him said, cold fingers soothing on his cheek.  “You’re unbelievable, you know that?”

Gon tried to say something–ask what was happening, if the blur of silver above him had a name, anything, but the only sound that came out of him was a croak.  The hand on his cheek slid to his chin, holding his jaw shut.

“Don’t try to talk.  You’re dying.  Don’t worry, though.”  The mouth that brushed against his ear was ice cold, followed closely by something sharp against his neck that Gon thought for a panicked instant was a knife.

But what followed was breath and more words, frigid lips brushing against his skin.

“I’m going to give you the choice I never had.”

tamacocoa:

Another lil AU, I had in mind after watchin some shows and listenin to cute jumpy musics, where Gon is a forest fairy who was found by Killua and Gon became attached to him even tho he isn’t supposed to, ya know like it’s because of a crappy fairy rule or somethin XD and Killua bein all caring and stuff XD

I just had to let it out somehow XD

not-that-sorry:

soooooooooooooo, I’ve been thinking about Magical beasts AU and after searching about some of them I finnaly came up with which would be killua and gon (Ii thought about doing it with kurapika, leorio and hisoka, but I’m still not sure)

Killua would be a siren -(different from mermaids) the original sirens had wings, but they lived in the sea. “In some legends they were beautiful women who sang sailors to the rocks and drowned them, in other stories the sang them to the rocks to devour the sailors themselves.”(source is at the end)

Gon would be a Dryads- also know  the spirits of the trees.” Legend has it that if the tree they were from died so would they. Love of nature, and an extremely strong tie to their home/roots nothing screams.”

And of course the post that started it all
