i’m making reaction images of Gon and Kalluto being threatening
i don’t know what i expect to use them for
A new crack pairing is born.
Okay, I don’t know how serious I was about this when I reblogged it three years ago, but now I honestly really wanna know how they’d interact?? Would they hate each other on principle because Gon took Killua away from home, and Kalluto wants to drag him back? Could they develop an epic rivalry that would finally make Kalluto relevant to the main plot?
back in the greed island arc, the Gang gets back to collecting cards. gon trades with goreinu for the panda maid card, and clones it for killua and bisky.
they both immediately slot it into their binders and get up to move on, but gon sort of tilts his head and looks at it for a moment. his brow furrows a little. killua bends down and slaps him on the back, and bisky scolds him, jerking her thumb behind her – “gon, hurry up and put that in your binder so we can get going!”
gon scratches the back of his head and grins apologetically. “oh! sorry. i just thought that one seemed kind of nice!” he slots the card in and gets up again to run after his friends.
in fuzzy sepia, a panda maid cradles a baby. the baby fusses, but quiets again at the introduction of a bottle into the equation. gently, the panda licks the child’s forehead.
after that something catches its attention, and it puts the now-sleeping gon back into his father’s arms.
in the present, chasing after killua and bisky, gon smiles.
To celebrate the end of the anime I wanted to put together a set with a scene from each arc (or in chimera ant arc’s case a few since it’s so long). The anime was as good of an adaptation as anyone could ever ask for, it was a blessing that Madhouse was the one to do it. I’ve never seen such a high quality long-running shonen anime and it was amazing seeing how they translated the manga into animation.
It’s sad to see it end but don’t forget the manga is still ongoing! When it’s not on hiatus, anyway.
And I just wanna say thanks for all the support over the past almost two years, it’s been a lot of fun being in the HxH fandom and I appreciate all the kind words and enjoyment of my art so much! I still love HxH as much as the day I finished the manga and I’m nowhere near done drawing for it, I hope others will continue to love it and stick with it and that it’ll continue getting the appreciation it deserves!
I LOVE IKALGO. AND I LOVE KILLUA’S FRIENDSHIP WITH IKALGO.
I think their relationship is so amazing. Ikalgo is the first person Killua actually takes interest in beyond Gon. I know Killua is friends with Zushi, Leorio, Kurapika and Bisky, but Killua became friends with Ikalgo on his own. It shows how much Killua’s character has grown since the beginning of the show.
Ikalgo and Killua are just so great. I like how they argue with each other but also really respect and understand the other’s motives/reasoning. I can see Killua suggesting random things to Ikalgo just to see how he’d react (hey, Ikalgo, do you think I’d stand out if I just started running up the side of this hotel building to get to the top? Alluka wanted a room in the highest floor but the line for the elevator is insanely long and I don’t feel like waiting.)(…yes, Killua. That would be weird.)(Really? Damn.) And they would totally stay in contact while Killua travels with Alluka. They’d probably visit him, too.
I don’t know why I haven’t done anything with Ikalgo yet considering how much I adore him? That’ll have to go on my list of ‘things I need to write’. Thank you for the ask! 🙂
